Nailed it! woww, can't criticize this

demon1000 responds:

Thanks! Really worked hard on this one...

some constructive criticism, don't get it wrong.
I heard most of your uploads and I really don't understand what are you trying to achieve in those. I mean stick to a certain path while writing a track, the tracks you make wander everywhere(If that makes sense). I mean if you're trying to do a DnB, listen to as many DnB songs as you can, look for its tutorials on youtube/google (Doesn't actually matter which DAW you're using or watching tutorial of because you're just gonna understand the flow).
Coming to this song, as most of your other pieces, this too has many empty spaces. Maybe get a good synth working in background. As usual it has some weird instrumentation, I liked the beat though. You can do a lot better if you tried making a real song rather than these having a feel hallucinations. :P

Cheers~!

Yeelp responds:

Looking at the content of your review that specifically addresses this song, I appreciate the suggestions - I never looked at the song in such a way that would allow me to say it had too many empty spaces. So I'll work on that.

As for the rest of the content directed towards all of my songs, I've sent you a PM with an explanation. It's pretty long so I felt it would be better than writing all about it here.

The start was kinda dry, but maybe its just me. The celli are perfect to me, what made me to write this review is the beat which kicked in and reminded me of waterflame, looks like you were trying to imitate his style. Many would deny it, but I personally loved the weird combo of four to the floor with orchestral instruments.
I'm not at all good with orchestral but I guess some parts of staccato might need work, I personally feel that they can become more catchy. Really enjoyed the song, great piece.

Cheers~!

TheMusicalGhost responds:

Thanks for the review. Yeah I knew I should've added something in the beginning. I didn't knew I've done this waterflame's style, maybe it was coincidental idk.

I'm glad you enjoyed this song ^^

The part after 1:57 is the turning point, those dark pads sound great! Everything is better.
This song clearly shows your improvement from a year ago to now. You might try remastering the whole song with some changes at the start so it flows into well.

Cheers!

Yeelp responds:

Agreed! remastering (even remixing) is definitely on my to do list! There were plenty of things I wanted to add to the song to give it a more creepy vibe but had to scrap because it just didn't sound that good. Maybe I'll have an opportunity to throw them in for real. Maybe not.

I got it! I'll remaster the first half now, and the second half a year from now. Poifect! XD
Or maybe not...

Anyway, thanks so much for the review!

Everything seems decent here, those crazy hats get together with the beat well, the only thing that bothered me the most is the background lead. It seems too deep and 'helpless'. You could try filling in some mid-high frequency instruments to support the lead. The wobbles were nice, great placement of FX. Loved those wind chimes. Again those wobbles at 2:42 are good.
Pretty good track overall, Keep it up!

Hallow responds:

Yeah, I don't really like this synth as a lead anymore.
I probably should have added more stuff in the mid-highs outside of the drops, as I agree, there isn't much support for the lead.

hahaha, amazing, I'm from India too and this reminded me of those 80's movies I watched in which the snake dances when owner plays such tune xD...
btw, not all instruments sound indian here, like the bass. It gives a bit modern feel, still loved it.

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

You ever hear of Buffalax on YouTube? Kinda older but still pretty funny. Yeah I watched a few of those for ideas. That and, well, the restaurant I was working at at the time was Indian. I appreciate the review

Nice cover, I guess this could be better though I'm not that good in 8-bits.

Teckmo-X responds:

I was gonna do it in full but I had to finish up on 2 other songs and release date was set for Monday so I wish I could have at least finished it up in full. I also started having a problem with the Wasp plug-in so I wasn't able to give it a little extra rhythm overall thank you.

At first I thought that this song would be a sort of typical house, but when drums and plucks kicked in, the song went more into chiptunes.
The melody is good but those high frequencies are killing my ears also I think the genre should be video game rather than techno.

Oivas responds:

Thanks, I'm not the best is recognising music genres, XD sorry btw, i changed the genre

I loved the overall feel of the song. From the start, i personally would've preferred the drums starting later with those main melodies. the silent parts at 24 sec should have an fx to slowly breakdown from the synths and drums rather than directly stopping everything suddenly. Everything else seems good to me.

Zechnition responds:

Thanks! I was thinking the track may have strayed a bit because I used so many orchestral instruments.

Its awesome mate! The lead melody and instrument really makes me bounce. The buildup and drop was amazing too, I hoped the song could've been somewhat longer though. Flawless one.

Dj-Gonzo responds:

Thanks for your review! I still can't believe you didn't find anything that doesn't fit in the song, glad you liked it :)

I love composing music. Check out some of my latest tracks. [exp] tags are my experimentations, they may or may not sound good.
